FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We require 72 hours’ notice for all By-the-Box orders. If you're ordering for Saturday, for example, you'll want to place your order by Wednesday.
Most of our boxes stay fresh for 24-48 hours. While we recommend picking up (or having us deliver) your boxes on your event date for optimal freshness, ordering for the day before your event is totally fine.
We typically offer By-the-Box between 10am and 6pm. We can sometimes accommodate earlier orders depending on the capacity of our kitchen. Please call us at (612) 203-0786 or email us at info@chowgirls.net if you’re interested in an earlier time frame.
Most boxes should be refrigerated until 30 minutes before serving, except cookies and pastries. Boxes stack nicely for storage in the refrigerator. No need to reheat! Our food is designed to be delicious at room temperature.
Not necessarily! Our boxes come with beautifully designed colorful lids and neutral bases, so they're suitable for any event theme. Our kitchen team carefully arranges the food inside each box. If you'd like to present the food differently, you're welcome to transfer it, but it's absolutely not needed.
Our By-the-Box line is designed to be an easy alternative to full-service catering. Setting up is simple! Just remove the lid (you can stack the box on top of the lid if you'd like) and tuck the menu card into the box.
