Tomato time! The end-of-summer staple stars in our corn, tomato, and basil bite, which captures the peak flavors of August on a spoon. Organic heirloom varieties anchor our caprese kabobs and our mini-BLTs are a classic.

Chowgirls Tip: Braised beets! Put clean beets in a big pot with onions and herbs, almost cover with water. Lid the pot and foil over it for a good seal. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Allow to cool. Dice and combine with favorites like burratta and balsamic. Garnish with micro greens and macademia nuts.
